Privacy Policy
The short version
We collect only what we need to sell you lovely things and get them to your door. We never sell your information, we don't run advertising trackers, and you can leave our mailing list with one click.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email address, shipping address, and what you bought — so we can fulfill and ship your order and answer questions about it.
When you create an account: your name, email, and a password (stored only in securely hashed form — we can't read it).
When you join our letters: your email address, so we can send you the seasonal newsletter you asked for.
When you write to us: your name, email, and message, so we can reply.
What we never collect
Your card details. Payment happens on Stripe's secure checkout page; card numbers go to Stripe, not to us. You can read Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
How we use your information
To fulfill and ship orders, send order confirmations and account emails, answer your messages, and — only if you subscribed — send our occasional letters from the garden. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that works instantly. We don't use your information for anything else, and we never sell or rent it.
Who we share it with
Only the services that make the shop run: Stripe (payments), Postmark (email delivery), our web host, and the postal carrier that brings your parcel (they get your name and shipping address, because that's how parcels work). Each of these providers receives only what it needs for its job. We'll also share information if the law genuinely requires it.
Cookies
We use a small number of functional cookies: one to keep your session (so your basket remembers what's in it and you stay signed in) and one for security (protecting forms against forgery). That's it — no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics that follow you around the internet.
How long we keep things
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for bookkeeping, taxes, and handling returns. Account information is kept while your account exists. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept while we might still need the conversation.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any letter, or from your account page. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — just write through the contact page and we'll take care of it (we may need to keep order records the law requires us to keep).
Children
Our shop isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be mentioned in our newsletter or on the site.
